CynoFilter is a sustainability venture I co-founded to tackle atmospheric carbon emissions through bioengineering. Our solution is a compact, natural carbon capture unit that leverages the extraordinary properties of cyanobacteria, encapsulated within a sodium alginate matrix. Each unit offers a sequestration efficiency approximately 90 times greater per mass than trees.
Currently in the testing phase, CynoFilter has received international recognition for its potential to revolutionise small-scale carbon capture. We were awarded the Earth Prize Scholarship as one of the Top 5 teams in Europe and were shortlisted for the Hoberman Prize for Social Innovation. Our research paper on the device earned the attention of early-stage climate tech investors and we are now in the process of securing a patent
CynoFilter represents my commitment to engineering sustainable solutions that are both scalable and scientifically sound-designed not just to prototype, but to deploy.
